Students and Families Visit School Site in CPN

On Saturday, December 1, American Academy students and their families were invited on a field trip to the City of Castle Pines North (CPN). The school, which has been located in a temporary facility in Lone Tree for more than two years, plans to build a new school on the Lagae Ranch development in CPN.

Families walked the site for the estimated 78,000 square foot school, and discussed plans with the architect and Permanent Facility Committee members. Lagae Ranch developer Chris Fellows of HF Holdings, LLC, also attended the event. Fellows donated several acres of land to the Charter school.

Pending planning approvals from the new City of Castle Pines North, the school hopes to break ground and begin construction this summer. American Academy hopes to open its doors in CPN in August, 2009. Visit
