New Open House Schedule on August 10

The DCS Montessori open house schedule has changed since it was reported in the August issue of The Connection.   The open house will still take place on Friday, August 10, however, according to Brycie Strother, office manager at DCS Montessori, the new open house hours are:

Primary  (preschool and kindergarten):  2 p.m. – 4 p.m.

Elementary (first through sixth grade):  4 p.m. – 6 p.m.

On Friday, August 10, DCS Montessori will hold an open house. This is a chance for new and returning students to visit classrooms and meet teachers before the start of school. Lower and upper elementary students can bring school supplies during the visit.

This event can help relieve those new school and new teacher jitters - especially for new students to the school. Stop by any time during the assigned hours. Most families stay for about thirty minutes.

First Day of School

The first day of school for kindergarten through sixth graders is Monday, August 13. Preschoolers will begin shortly after that date and will receive a letter (in mid- July) with specific start date details.

Fall Festival

The DCS Montessori Fall Festival is scheduled for Saturday, September 15. It will be a fun event for DCS families and the entire community. Please visit www.dcsmontessori.org for more information.

Preschool Openings

DCS Montessori still has vacancies for three-year-old preschoolers. Incoming students must be three years old by September 15 or must apply after having their third birthday. Please call Brycie at 303-387-5629 after July 12 for further information.
