Principal Berggren at Rockies Game - Buffalo Ridge Elementary School Principal, Ally Berggren, was selected to help kick off the Douglas County School District night at the Colorado Rockies game on Saturday, June 2. She, along with other District staff, was welcomed onto the field prior to the game. The Rockies beat the Cincinnati Reds 2-0. BRE Selected as Pilot School for World Language Initiative - Buffalo Ridge Elementary was selected as a phase one school for the Douglas County World Language Initiative. A part-time teacher will visit classrooms to introduce the Spanish language. BRE Principal, Ally Berggren, looks forward to getting kids excited about learning a foreign language, and she hopes it provides a learning mechanism for cultural diversity and increased tolerance. First Day of School - BRE students head back to school during the week of August 13. Check with the school for specific start days and times. |
