Interested in helping out at the school? Contact Susan Santamaria-Fenton, Volunteer Coordinator for RHMS, at susan.santamariafenton@dcsdk12.org. Current volunteers needed include:

Communications Liaison for the PCA

This volunteer would communicate information about activities within the school and surrounding community, as well as information about the school fundraising. This information is circulated throughout the community and is forwarded to the school’s web person.

Staff Appreciation Coordinator
for the PCA

This volunteer would work closely to the RHMS Volunteer Coordinator.  The Staff Appreciation Coordinator would assist with staff appreciation
lunches, holiday luncheons and special treats to reward teachers and background staff who keep the school running.   

Note: The Rocky Heights PCA is the school’s parent community group and is open to all RHMS parents. The meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month, beginning at 1:30 p.m.

Save the Date – PCA Meetings

The next PCA meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 16, at 1:30 pm at the school (there will not be a PCA Meeting for the month of December due to winter break and holidays.)

Watchdog Program

A group of RHMS parent volunteers formed a School Accountability Committee in 2005. As part of this committee, the “Watchdog” program is being developed. It is designed to allow fathers of RHMS students to participate as an extra set of eyes, in various capacities.
