The Urban Group

Don Weaver, Owner, Principal and President of the Urban Group, LLC, has been in the construction business since 1976 and in commercial development since 1985.

Don, whose office is in the Village Square in Castle Pines North, first saw Colorado during a vacation with his wife, Nancy.  And when they moved here from Texas, they brought with them a wealth of experience which they have used to develop and manage several industrial and commercial business sites located in and around CPN.

The Urban Group developed the Village Square shopping area south of Castle Pines Parkway, which is currently fully leased.  This is the area familiar to CPN residents because of our patronage of such long-time occupants as Celtic Crossing, La Dolce Vita, and Castle Pines Cleaners.

In March, the Weavers sold their partnership in Village Square 568 to the Paul Mitchell Family Trust.  However, the Urban Group office will remain in Suite 200 at 7437 Village Square, as it’s too convenient a commute from the Weaver’s home in Forest Park!

The Urban Group is currently developing  the “Village at Castle Pines,” a marketplace under construction at the intersection of Happy Canyon and Santa Fe. 

Upon completion, the Village at Castle Pines is slated to be double the size of the Village Square, with more than 110,000 square feet of new high-end shops, specialty stores, and services.  (See page  23 for more details about the Castle Pines Village merchants.)

Don and Nancy have two sons, Jonathan, who lives in California, and David Lee, who lives in CPN and is the Vice President of Urban Construction.  With two young grandchildren and another on the way, you could say that Don and Nancy are pretty happy with the way things are developing!
