Holiday Carriage Rides Bring Winter Fun to CPN
by Elean Gersack
The 2006 Castle Pines North (CPN) Holiday Carriage Rides have come to an end. Just as in past years, CPN residents thoroughly enjoyed the rides, treats, beautiful lights and good cheer.
The residents of Daniel’s Gate provided a great holiday light show for all of the riders. Three homes were recognized with top decorating honors and will receive a coffee cake from CoffeeCakes.com: 6353 Vacquero Drive, 6173 Vacquero Circle and 6222 Vacquero Drive
One CPN family enjoyed the 2005 rides so much, they decided to purchase an entire carriage this year. Lenora Mundis, age 91, told her daughter that she had to ride again this year. Knowing the event sells out quickly, Mundis’s son-in-law, purchased an entire carriage, for the three of them, during the OctoberFest pre-sale event. On December 12, Mundis brought her own step stool to ease the climb into the carriage. “It was just wonderful. I enjoyed it so much,” said Mundis.
